Understanding the Updated Fees at Companies House
15 March 2024
Starting 1st May 2024, Companies House is adjusting its fees, and we’re here to break it down for you. Whether you’re setting up a new business, changing your company’s name, or handling other official tasks, it’s important to know what these changes mean for you.
What’s changing?
- Starting a Company: The cost for digital registrations is going up to £50. Need it done fast? The same-day service will now be £78.
- Yearly Check-ins: Filing your annual confirmation statement online or through software will cost £34, but if you prefer paper, it’s £62.
- A New Name: Thinking of changing your company’s name? That’ll be £20 for digital filings and £30 for paper. In a hurry? The same-day service is available for £83.
- Other Updates: There are also new fees for a few other services, like registering charges or closing your company, all part of keeping Companies House running smoothly. To see the full list of new fees, click here.
